Ben Segal, author of 78 Stories, has written a series of short and beautiful but peculiar stories called Science Fiction Pornography. They attend to personal, intimate relationships through a gauze of disease. They do not seem earth-bound. Through their oddness, they relate no mundane coupling, and they are filled with all sorts of impossible details that underscore the problems of copulation, and of understanding. It’s a magnetic collection, though the poles are reversed.
Ben Segal is the author of 78 Stories (No Record Press). His short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in various publication including Gigantic, The Collagist, Eyeshot, and elimae, and the collection Tell: An Anthology of Expository Narrative (Flatmancrooked). He is also the co-editor of the 'Official Catalog of the Library of Potential Literature' (Willows Wept Press, online arm at potentialbooksbook.com) and is a founding contributor at the blog Ghost Island .
