Publishing Genius was founded in 2006, when the first issue of isReads was published. In 2011, PGP moved into its first office. Located in Baltimore, visitors are welcome to come and hang out, read a book, have a cup of coffee. Email office@publishinggenius.com to RSVP.
There are four venues within Publishing Genius:
- Paperback Books. These started as staple-stitched chapbooks. Since 2007 the production has expanded into short, perfect bound volumes.
- Chapbook Genius. We are looking for essays for this series, which is released online. They are also formatted to be printed from home.
- isReads. The outdoor journal, which is also edited by Peter Cole of Keyhole Magazine and Kathryn Regina. This features short poems posted in public spaces in cities across the United States.
- Everyday Genius. This is an online journal that is updated Monday through Friday.
